Respect the Rope: A Friendly Request for Your Cooperation

We’re excited to share some updates on our ongoing projects, and we’d like to kindly ask for your help in respecting the areas that have been roped off for their own protection (and ours). Our goal is to provide you with the best possible playing conditions, but to do that, we need to avoid excessive foot traffic on certain areas.

You may have noticed some large sections of the course roped off—such as the putting green, which is about to undergo some improvements, and Pacific #2, which has been temporarily out of play. We’re working hard to ensure these areas can thrive, but if we don’t protect them, we’ll end up repairing the damage caused by those who blatantly ignore the ropes and fences.

Here’s what’s going on in these roped-off zones:

  • When our maintenance team enters these areas, they’re often working on plywood to minimize damage. Over time, as the root depth reaches a satisfactory level, we’ll be able to remove the ropes, cut or roll the area, and get it ready for play. Once it’s fully playable, we’ll take down the barriers for good.
  • Some ropes are placed around newly seeded areas to protect them from trampling—yes, we know it’s tempting to cut through the freshly grown grass, but please resist the urge. In some cases, you’ll see designated walking paths (like between the bunker and the green on Pacific #2). These paths help reduce the wear and tear that happens, especially during the wet season. Don’t worry, we’ll remove them as soon as the area is stable.

Now, we know you’re eager to get back to playing on these areas, so here’s a quick timeline for when they’ll be ready:

Project Timelines:

  • Pacific #2 Green: Should be ready by April 7, 2025 (weather permitting). Fingers crossed for sunshine!
  • Cart Path Edges with Curbing: Repairs should be finished by mid-to-late April.
  • Putting Green: We’re aiming for a mid-April to May 1, 2025 opening. We may rope off the new area for a bit, but feel free to play on the original surface as long as you respect the rope.
  • New Tees: These areas will be roped off and under repair until they’re ready for play. We plan to seed them, and they should be good to go in about 60 to 70 days from the planting date. Look out for Pacific #7 getting its seeds and ropes this coming week!

A Special Note:
One area that’s now fully fenced (instead of roped off) is the right side of Pacific #1. We kindly ask that you do not attempt to retrieve your wayward shot from this steep and slippery slope. It’s not just tricky to navigate—it’s downright dangerous.

We truly appreciate your cooperation in helping us get these exciting renovations ready for play. Thank you for respecting the ropes, the fences, and all the hard work our maintenance team is putting into these improvements. Happy golfing!
