Shop Talk: Dub’s Divots

Dear Divot Hater,

Firstly, I’d like to thank you for your interest in helping combat the divot mayhem at Highland Pacific Golf. We’ve seen quite the influx of golfers these past few seasons and we need all the help we can get.

Some info on the program:

Who is this Dub guy? 

Some of you may know this already, but my nickname (since I can remember) has been Dub. I’m passionate about golf etiquette and feel that all golfers should take part in caring for golf courses… especially their own.

What is this program about?

In a nutshell, this program is about caring for our golf course and hoping that our influence will rub off on other players. We will have thank you signage on each tee box for those who have volunteered – It’s the least we can do for your upcoming help. 

How does it work?

Once we’ve got all the volunteers signed up, we will designate holes for each of you – Likely a few members per hole. During your regular play, we ask that you help fill as many divots as time will allow. We realize times are busy, but an extra divot or two will go a long way. 

How long am I expected to do this?

The tenure for your volunteership will be from Jan 1st, 2022 – Dec 31st, 2022. After the calendar year ends, we will look to grow our team and re-jig our specific sponsor holes. 

There will be more details about added sand retrieval areas, sand bottles, community events for this group, and much more in the coming weeks.
